Procedure Preparation

Do not take any blood thinning medications for three to five days before treatment, including aspirin, NSAIDs, ibuprofen/Motrin, naproxen (also, avoid any herbal supplements or vitamins which can prolong bleeding)
Do not drink alcoholic beverages for 24-48 hours before your appointment, as alcohol thins the blood and increases swelling
Do not smoke, vape, or take nicotine-containing products before or after your treatment as they can impair the healing process
