Brow Lift

Description

Droopy brows can be a result of the aging process, genetics, or medical conditions that cause paralysis of muscles in the forehead and around the eyes. A brow lift repositions the brow to a more elevated position resulting in a more rejuvenated, bright-eyed appearance of the face.

There are various techniques and approaches:

  • Direct brow lift: incision is made just above the brow hairline in a well concealed area. Skin is directly excised above the brow and set in the new position with sutures. Long lasting and predictable results. Scar may be more noticeable. Can be performed in the office awake or under sedation at the surgery center based on your preference and comfort.
  • Endoscopic brow lift: small incisions are made hidden in the scalp hairline. Small cameras are placed through the incisions and sutures are placed to lift the brows.  This procedure requires general anesthetia and is performed in the surgery center.
  • Coronal brow lift: incision is made in the scalp hairline from ear to ear. The skin and muscles are elevated along the forehead down to the brow. Can smooth forehead wrinkles. Little more downtime. Long lasting results. General anesthetia is required and performed in the surgery center.
